Paree Starks (2000 - 2022)

Paree Starks was taken from us on September 25, 2022.

​

Paree was involved with PPA at the City Juvenile Detention Center, City Justice Center, and finally Hogan Street. He was a gifted artist with a passion for poetry.

​

Paree went home last year, and kept in touch with some PPA staff. He was exploring the idea of getting some of his poetry published.

​

In a writing exercise in 2018, Paree described himself:

​

1: I'm smart
2: I'm funny
3: I'm brave
4: I'm goofy

​

He was all of these things and more. He will be dearly missed.
