In Gatsby of a Thousand Faces, a troupe of Jay Gatsbys confronts their maker: F. Scott Fitzgerald himself. These Gatsbys have some "literary corrections" they'd like to make to the novel that gave them a tragic ending. However, a few rogue characters complicate their efforts at a literary ambush. The Gatsbys must decide how to reconcile their desire to be independent characters with the prying eyes of the reading world. Gatsby of a Thousand Faces is inspired by writing from artists at MECC in response to The Great Gatsby and adapted by Courtney Bailey for Prison Performing Arts.
